Entrepreneurship Story

Since middle school, I absolutely loved getting involved in all things communications. I was an anchor for my morning news show, a writer for the morning scripts and began taking graphic designing classes.

As time progressed I realized I wanted to do the same things in high school and I did. I took graphic design classes as electives throughout my course work and fell in love with designing flyers and editing pictures. To this day I personally have been exposed to entrepreneurship by having my own side hustle as a graphic designing and content creator. I create flyers for multiple organizations around University of Florida's campus, outside areas, and I also capture photography. I consider this to be entrepreneurship because I am not only providing a service to people but making them happy at an affordable cost.

I someday want to make what I do an official small business and not just a side business. People in need of services can contact me primarily through my instagram page entitled: G.G.SHOOTS.

  2. Wow! Gernise that is amazing you run your own photography and design page. I completely agree with you that it is entrepreneurship. What type of shoots do you normally do? I would love to see your work in photography and design. Seeing as I am graduated in Spring 2020, I am looking for a photographer. I hope all the best for your company!
